New Stories

Description

New Stories is a 501(c)(3) educational organization incorporated in the state of Washington. We serve as a collaboratory of people and a constellation of projects gathered around a central flame of nurturing the emergence of new stories for who we are as humanity, what we can become together and how to navigate the process of change. We believe the stories we tell ourselves set our course for the future. When we turn to Life for inspiration, our stories motivate and support us as we engage our rapidly changing world.

Purpose: Our purpose is to utilize and expand the field of story as a primary tool for social innovation by gathering, co-evolving, and disseminating new images and practices that inspire, encourage and guide creative responses to the unprecedented cultural transformation of our times.

Mission:New Stories helps individuals, organizations, and communities shed old ways of doing and thinking and step into the new stories of their lives.

Vision:We envision a world in which people collaboratively meet our greatest crises and opportunities by weaving a rich tapestry of interdependent relationships to evolve new possibilities. New Stories plays a catalytic role in defining a life-affirming future by nurturing an ever-growing network of people committed to using story for personal and collective change.

Strategy: We work in collaboration with individuals, organizations, and communities to give people tools to co-create a world in which we are deeply connected to one another and in harmony with Earth. We host deep dialogues and gatherings, cultivate collaborative projects and foster relationships among leaders. We create, design, and offer virtual and in-person meetings, courses, conferences, workshops, and trainings that foster the emergence of a vibrant, thriving future. Our work is grounded in local, place-based projects and expanded through a rich network of national and global allied organizations.
